Terms of Service

Last updated September 27, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of dustplan. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use dustplan.

The service

dustplan helps households divide and track chores, rotate shared rooms, rate how rooms look, and earn points toward rewards. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a household. Adults may add other members, including parent-managed profiles for children. You’re responsible for the profiles you create and for keeping your sign-in secure. Please give accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use dustplan for anything unlawful or harmful;
  • try to access other households’ data or break the service’s security;
  • copy, scrape, or resell the service; or
  • upload content that is abusive, harassing, or violates someone else’s rights.

Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add — room names, chores, notes, ratings, and any photos. You give us permission to store and display that content to your household so the app can work. You’re responsible for the content you add and for having the right to share it.

Points, rewards, and allowance

Points, rewards, and allowance tracking are features your household sets up and runs for itself. Points have no cash value, and dustplan does not process or move any money. Any allowance you choose to pay is handled entirely between household members, outside the app.

Availability

We work to keep dustplan running, but we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the service at any time.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

dustplan is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, dustplan and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Ending your use

You can stop using dustplan and delete your account or household at any time. We may suspend or end access for accounts that violate these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “last updated” date above, and for significant changes we’ll let you know in the app. Continuing to use dustplan means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which dustplan’s operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
